Reactive Dog Class
 

Does your dog bark or lunge at other dogs while out on walks?This class is for you.

This five week class utilizes a combination of techniques including TTouch, Click-to-Calm and Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT) to teach you the techniques to help your dog learn to be less reactive around other dogs.

 

Limited to four dog/handler teams.  

 

9:00AM on Saturday mornings at the Rhode Island College. Tuition is $200 for this five week class.



C.L.A.S.S.
B.A, M.A, and PhD. Level Classes

This popular group class is a partnership between Outbound Hounds and Handsome Dan's Rescue for Pit Bull Type dogs and is the only one of it's kind in the state.  The class is a mixture of owned dogs, foster and shelter pit bull type dogs, and their handlers, working the C.L.A.S.S. program, as specially tailored by Handsome Dan's Rescue's Founder, Heather Gutshall, CPDT-KA who is a certified C.L.A.S.S. Instructor and Evaluator.

C.L.A.S.S. BA. meets on Saturday mornings at 10:30AM at the Rhode Island College and is $150 for owned dog/handler teams and free for shelter and foster dogs in Handsome Dan's Rescue Foster Care Program or Shelter Dog Enrichment Program.

Canine Life and Social Skills

 

Our group C.L.A.S.S. is an educational program to promote training focused on the use of positive reinforcement and to strengthen relationships between humans and their canine companions.
